iWiSP, a local internet service provider dedicated to delivering reliable, high-performance connectivity to underserved communities, announces a major step forward in its mission thanks to support from the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program. The funding will accelerate iWiSP’s efforts to close the digital divide and bring affordable, future-proof broadband infrastructure to rural and unserved regions.
The BEAD Program, established by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), represents the largest federal investment in broadband infrastructure in U.S. history. iWiSP’s participation in this initiative underscores its commitment to ensuring every household and business has access to modern, high-speed internet—an essential resource for education, employment, healthcare, and economic growth.
Expanding Infrastructure and Local Impact
With BEAD funding support, iWiSP will:
Deploying new fiber networks in areas lacking adequate service
Increase broadband speeds to meet and exceed federal digital equity benchmarks
Improve network resiliency and long-term scalability
Create local jobs through infrastructure build-out and ongoing support roles
Partner with community stakeholders to ensure equitable and affordable access for all residents and businesses

This is big, BIG, BIG news for the iWiSP family and just adds to an already great year! This year we have had big things happen:
